The Homophobic Tweet That Caused Controversy with Jamari Fox and his Foxhole

I spent my Friday night browsing the web and staying up to date with the latest through some of my favorite blogs and websites. Jamari Fox is one of the bloggers who I enjoy popping in on throughout the week to see what him and his foxhole are up to.

Yesterday he uploaded a post, “Feminine Gays Are No Threat To The Enemy.” Curious to know more about the direction in which he was headed, I decided to click on the headline so I could really get down to the meat and potatoes of what really was going on…

It ended up being a tweet that he came across which sparked the post. (see tweet below)

So if you would like to know Jamari’s thoughts on the tweet, CLICK HERE. Of course I like to contribute my two cents in some good online discussion from time to time so here was my initial comment:

While getting a few reactions from my comment, it made me think of a YouTube video I watched a few years back by one of my favorite online personalities, Trini Trent. This clip pretty much sums up the point that I was trying to make.

It’s a lengthy clip (26 min), but it’s well worth the watch! Do me a favor and please try to watch the ENTIRE clip and if you feel up to it, let me know what you think in the comment section.

One more thing…

While watching the clip, keep this concept in mine:

Patriarchal Society: A patriarchal social system can be defined as a system where men are in authority over women in all aspects of society. In modern American culture and society, the idea of patriarchy is not as accepted or practiced as it once was decades ago.
