Singer/YouTube Reality star, Phylle, was kind enough to do an exclusive interview with The N Crowd. Read what Phylle has to say as he discusses love, music, the LGBT community and more!
NICHOLAN: Let’s go back in time a bit. When did you first realize that you could sing?
PHYLLE: I started singing when I was like 11. That’s when my late aunt sat me down and said look, if you are going to do this you need to do it right and write your own shit. Lol. That was the point I knew this is what I really wanted to do.
NICHOLAN: What artists have had the most influence on your music and how would you describe your sound?
PHYLLE:Man, Aaliyah has had the most influence on my music hands down. I started listening to her when I was so young and she was my muse. I started to build on her sound listening to Sam Cooke and Marvin Gaye to get that sexual sound without being too forward. I pulled pieces of Jay-Z into my music. I would have to say they have had the most influence on my music.
