This is an extremely sad story and I hate that I’m even posting this right now. Early Saturday morning (January 9, 2016) around 3:00 a.m. in Atlanta, Georgia, there was a fatal car crash that claimed the lives of 3 men. According to reports, the driver lost control of his Audi A3 and crashed into and flipped over the concrete barrier on the Buford-Spring Connector.
The three victims, pictured below (left to right), were:
36 year old Esu Manzano
33 year old Adam Bailey
24 year old Cordel Fowler
I’d rather not post the news coverage video on here, because it does hit kind of hard once you see the scene of the crash. However, I will post the link below.
What stood out about this story was the fact that I was familiar with Cordel Fowler through Instagram. A lot of you all may know him as “Corky Dennis.” Also, I remember seeing him a few years ago at a nightclub in Atlanta while I was there for MLK Weekend. He was there with, The Boyz Next Door L.A. Star, Aaron Kodak.
According to Aaron, corky was the word that best described him.
This is just overall so very sad that these guys had to lose their lives while being so young. Let this be a reminder to all of us on how short life really is! Treat others kindly because none of us know when our last breath will be. So to everyone reading this right now, PLEASE STAY SAFE OUT THERE!

Police say three men died when the driver lost control of his car and flipped onto the interstate in midtown Atlanta. The Medical Examiner's Office said that 36-year-old Esu Manzano, 33-year-old Adam Bailey and 24-year-old Cordel Fowler were killed in the crash on Saturday, January 9, 2016. Atlanta police say the three men were headed south on Interstate 75 around 3 a.m. when the driver lost control. The car veered off the ramp into a barrier and traveled along the wall for some distance before flipping over the wall and landing on its roof on the interstate. The car was crushed and sadly all three were killed on impact. The men were returning home after attending a birthday party. Cordel, 24, was a 2013 graduate of Morehouse College. Friends say he always kept a smile on his face and was a joy to be around. Adam, 33, was a graduate of Georgia State and will be remembered for his laugh, mischievous smile and his zest for life. He was ambitious and kept pursuing his dreams. Esu, 36, was a generous, kind soul who leaves behind two young sons who were the joy of his life. Deepest sympathies to their families and many friends who are mourning their passing. Rest easy Corky, Adam & Esu. #esumanzano #cordelfowler #adambailey #ripesu #ripcordel #ripcorky #ripadam #morehouse #morehouseman #georgiastate #alphaphialpha #rip #restinpeace #restinparadise #gonetoosoon #restinpower #sleepinpeace #gonebutnotforgotten #atl #gonebutneverforgotten
R.I.P. to Esu, Adam, and Cordel
Last night, CNN Anchor, Don Lemon payed tribute to the victims at the end of his segment on CNN. It was clear that these gentlemen were extremely loved by family, friends, and strangers throughout the nation. Like Lemon states, these guys were gone too soon.
