NBA Referee Opens Up About Sexuality

“I am proud to be an NBA referee and I am proud to be a gay man.”

After being a referee in the NBA for 18 seasons, that’s what Bill Kennedy told Yahoo Sports on Sunday night. He revealed this after Sacramento Kings guard, Rajon Rondo, was faced with a one game suspension as a result of verbally attacking the openly-gay referee.

According to sources, Rondo was charged with a technical file and then aggressively targeted Kennedy while calling him a f*****. His teammates even had to hold him back. Yikes!

Rondo then released tweets to backtrack on his anti-gay statements…

Why do guys find it appropriate to use anti-gay slurs out of frustration? Why use such offensive terms as a way to vent? It seems like they only learn when it has a negative impact on their bank accounts. smh
