In his new novel, “The Underwear Drawer,” which will be released this summer, Langston John Blaze takes us on his personal journey on dating in the gay community while living in Atlanta, Georgia. “The Underwear Drawer is a metaphor for vulnerability and the aspects of ourselves we are willing to provide for the people we develop feelings for. It goes into vulnerability, rejection, and self esteem.” Blaze goes on to say that he wants “to relate to gay men on the dating issues in our communities and why we need a better foundation as friends and lovers.”
Check out a teaser of “The Underwear Drawer” by CLICKING HERE! I recently read it and I was immediately drawn into the experiences that Blaze had gone through. There were actually a few parallel’s in his experiences and my own experiences.
For example: That moment when you go out of your way for someone and get nothing back in return–smdh.
Reading this teaser to the full novel only left me wanting MORE! I guess we’ll all to wait until this summer when “The Underwear Drawer” is scheduled to be released. I’m SO excited to get my copy because it’s nice to know that there are other guys in the community that can DIRECTLY relate to my experiences in this complicated world of dating *sigh*. I can already see that this is going to be a PAGE TURNER!
