Being single can be tough. It’s not really the single part that’s the most difficult, but it’s more so when you don’t even have any options that excite you. In addition, if you aren’t getting sex on a regular, that adds fuel to the fire. Let’s face it, masturbation and sex toys can only do but so much.
Many of us are single, so how should we cope? Well my suggestion is to keep yourself distracted! Be careful with this because all distractions are not good ones. For instance, drinking every night to cope with your loneliness (or your backed up sex drive) is NOT the answer.
Instead, the best way to keep your mind occupied is to work on yourself. For me, I enjoy blowing off some extra steam at the gym and paying a little more attention to my diet. When I feel good about my health and the way I look, it makes my stress levels a bit more manageable.
For instance, I woke up a about an hour earlier than usual this morning just to hit up the gym for a good 20-30 minutes. After my workout, I came home and fixed myself a protein shake–which, by the way, I just finished before typing this post. I had a bit of an episode last night so I knew I had to do something to get my mind back on track.
Even a little light shopping, also known as “retail therapy,” can help put the focus back on you. It kind of goes back to the gym idea; exercise helps you look hotter in your clothes. Have you seen my Tumblr page? If so, then you’ll know when I’m engaging in a little retail therapy. Now of course you don’t want to blow all your money on clothes, but do what works for your personal budget.
So again, being single
as fuck can be difficult at times, but you’ll be alright. I’m sure you hear it all the time, but keep working on being the best version of yourself that you can be and eventually you’ll notice that things will start falling into place quite nicely.
